What we sell

Sound Russian Academy sells access to pre-recorded online Russian courses (levels A1 and A2), together with interactive exercises, a vocabulary tool, and feedback from your teacher on writing assignments and questions you send from inside your account.

Each course is sold as a one-off purchase and includes lifetime access — meaning for as long as Sound Russian Academy operates the course. There is no subscription and nothing renews: once the course is paid for, nothing is charged to you again. The price of a course is shown to you before you buy it and is the price that applies to that purchase.

You may also choose to pay in 3 monthly instalments — $67 a month for one course, or $99 a month if you take both courses together. That is a payment schedule, not a subscription: PayPal takes exactly 3 payments, one a month, and then stops on its own. Access starts with the first payment. If an instalment does not go through, we contact you before doing anything about access, and you can pay the remainder or ask for a refund of what you have paid so far.

What we do not promise

We do not promise that you will reach any particular level of Russian by any particular date. How far you get depends on how much you practise. Course descriptions state what the material covers, not a guaranteed outcome.

Your account

• There is no public sign-up. We create your account when you join a course, and send you the login details by email.
• You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself.
• One account is for one person. Sharing your login so other people can use a course you paid for once is a breach of these terms.
• Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account, and we will help you secure it.

Course material

The videos, audio, texts and exercises belong to Victoria Borovskikh. You may use them to learn Russian yourself. You may not download, re-upload, resell, publish or teach from them, in whole or in part, without written permission.

Your content

Your writing assignments, comments and messages stay yours. You give us permission to store and display them inside the service so your teacher can read and grade them. We do not publish them anywhere else.

Payment

Payments are handled by PayPal. Your card details go to PayPal, not to us. Access to the course is granted once PayPal confirms the payment.

Refunds

You can get your money back within 14 days. The full conditions are on the refund policy page, which forms part of these terms.

Availability

We aim to keep the service up, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access — servers need maintenance and things occasionally break. If an outage stops you using a course you paid for and it is not fixed within a reasonable time, contact us.

Suspension

We may suspend or close an account that resells or redistributes course material, shares logins, abuses the teacher or other students, or attacks the service. Where we close an account for these reasons, no refund is due.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise our liability to you is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the course concerned.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page will change, and where an update materially affects a course you have already bought we will tell you by email. Your existing access and price do not change.
